Lets start by saying that unless your making more than 90% off the population is making, then the any amount of taxes you pay will directly effect your day to day lives. Lets also agree that our Government, when acting on our behaves, needs to generate revenue to cover the costs of Governing. These include, but not limited to, National security, supporting any number of social services, relief efforts, study groups, policy makers(including Supreme Court, House of Rep, Senate, congress and congressional committees, etc. etc.). There are many many more, some no longer should be handled by the gov. Mail for example, and some that currently aren't should be, Energy production and distribution to name a couple that should be changed. The issue is kind of funny when you think about the fact that it was taxation that finally spurred on the revolution and our gaining of Independence from the British Empire. Tea anyone? Ok now, the big problem is how to tax individual citizens fairly to ensure there will be enough money to run the Government and provide for our safety and comfortable way of life equally. Well, i have an idea. Big surprise huh? Lets look at each citizen and what cost can be placed on all the activities one does daily, regardless of it's necessity.(there are some needs that we all share equally-National security is one) I believe that the more one consumes or uses services or products the Government provides the more one should pay. If for example, I don't own a vehicle and use public transportation for all my travel needs. Then I have becomes less of a cost burden on our federal and local highway system. Sure I still use but, not one person in one car using all the gas and wear and tear the same as car load of people. If I purchase as many products as is possible that are locally grown and/or produced then I once again save the government(not to mention the environment-I will get to that trust me) money. If I am a person who keeps myself as healthy as humanly possible do I not reduce the financial obligation of the Government? If I currently make 40k/yr and am single and decide to live a quite life as a hermit in the woods on land I own, why should I pay MORE taxes than a family of four who's household income is also 40k from one bread winner? Speaking of "bread" I've heard the analogy that life is like a Shit sandwich, the more bread you have the less shit you have to eat! Sounds pretty close..... Anyway, that family costs our government more in a consumer way than I do yet they will pay less. Doe that make sense? Now, one big problem today that is not really spotlighted, da da da! Illumination guy! Is the fact that a fast growing number of our work force and many small business owners(Convenience stores, laundry industry, ethnic restaurants, just about all Day's inns and Super 8 motels) are foreign. Whether illegal/undocumented or not they tend to be very hard working and VERY cost conscious. Meaning that they take the money they earn and either send it out of the country or save it (Usually under a mattress). Sure they are paying taxes which is good but has little to do with keeping the economy flowing. So as this segment grows they will undoubtedly have a larger impact on the US economy. Back to taxes. What im getting at is a system not unlike our federal park system on a nation tax scale. We all pay, and should, a percentage of taxes to maintain the national forrests and wildlife habitats. we all pay an equel amount whether you actually use that park or not. Thats good and ok. Then, if you ever have been to one of these parks you will find a cute, tiny, little(always liked how we say, "tiny little") gate house, usually near the ranger stations, that are all to happy to collect an entrance fee. You see those that use have to pay more. The beauty here is that it's a pay as you go/use policy. The highway system and transportation can also follow this same system everyone has a basic need for roads, highways, byways and bridges exactly like the parks. Then for addition use you pay an addition fee. Sales tax should be on the end user not the Production, transport/distrobution or wholesale/retail. I was required to pay sales tax on sales made in my Health Clubs and that was unfair because I was selling services not products.

When will someone in Hollywood do a reaity show about Life, so we can all remember whats it's supposed to be about..?

Once again I find myself angry and blaming organized religion for most of the woes that we are facing today. Yesterday, Sunday I switched from the usual Face the Nation, Meet the Press type shows. To the bizarre world of TV evangelists. I watch and wonder how these have any benefit to mankind and enhancing spirituality. The "Plastic Pulpit Preachers" actually look like they have begun to believe their own Bullshit. These self proclaimed athourities on "The word of God" They preach that God wants you to do this or that,like they have any remote clue what "GOD" wants! They have one goal and that is to get you to, REACH DOWN AND GIVE THE LORD YOUR MONEY! SHOW HIM HOW MUCH YOU LOVE HIM< THE MORE YOU GIVE THE MORE HE KNOWS YOU LOVE HIM. GIVE ME A BREAK!!! These shows and the Churches that they use as a front are never showing you what happens to the hundreds of millions donated. Sure some of it gets to those who are in need. But its a very small percentage. Most of it will go into the churches coffers, were it will used to fund the machine to keep the money rolling in. And worse to "Enhance" the life style of the Evangelist themselves. Those include but not limited to, Planes, expensive autos, larger more extravagant homes, first class trips and so much more that has no bearing on the needy. When they preach with that rehearsed voice and subject matter that has been carefully chosen to Create emotions that will allow them to manipulate you and your actions. Preying/Praying on you, using the power of suggestion to eventually get You to dig down deep into your pockets for the Lord. There are those who have gone over the top and now hopefully will be shown in their true light. Those who profit from your generosity are nothing more themselves than a "False Profit" Creflo Dollars(just his name would discourage me) Is part of a growing ministry called "Prosperity Gospels" He preaches of the need to attain wealth so that you are able to serve the church better bye giving more. He currently owns 2 Rolls Royces a private plane and a million dollar mansion. To him I quote a passage from Psalms Mathew 19 "It is easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle, than a rich man to enter the Kingdom of heaven" The laws that govern non-profits particularly churches must be reformed. As of now they are not required disclose where the money goes, There is however an investigation going on by a Senate sub-committee to change that. 3/4/08 I couldn't deter my desire to call a number that the "prayer Ministries" was flashing on the screen to get a free prayer from this minisrtry. So, I called to get my "Prayers answered" But, what answerd when you pushed the # for the prayer line, not my prayers but a recording, that instructs you to leave your prayer request and it will be fullfilled. But, guess what happens when you push the make donation #?....... Yes, you guess correct! A pleasnt soul comes directly on the line(not even a wait time)to gladely accept your money!!!!!As far a my prayers being answered... they obviously weren't because the same show was on the next morning.

One of the problems with this holiday, besides illuminating the void between the haves from the have nots, is that a name has been X out........When you refer to Christmas as Xmas Its like leaving Santa without a Clause... your left with Satan(santa) I know IMus(ta) heard it wrong, but I swear I heard Santa go Happy nair HO HO HO

Names are odd things that are given to us at birth and we are supposed to accept them and whatever fate is associated. You have to wonder when a name is picked what was going through the minds of the picker? If it is true that no two people are alike(Like snow flakes), then why not give each person a name that is unique to them? Some names are given out of obligation, you know "family" names Jonathan James Jackson Hunter the third....... others to get as far away from the "family" name given to them. Dweezel or Moonunit. You can tell a lot about the giver from a name. If your name is Flower, Lovechild or Peace you pretty much know the parents were hang'n out at Woodstock smok'n bones. There are names that once you say them, you immediately know the name that follows. Atilla, Joan, Jack, Hannilble, Ivan and Alexander to mention a few. Race sometimes effects what name you are given, which if thought about maybe should be studied like genealogy. If I tell you my name is Shateeka, Latisha, Jackson or Jermain can you guess my race? Ethnicity and religion too play a role. If my name is Mark, Abe or Issac, you could guess my last name will be a Cohen, Goldstein or Ruben.... Religious names are very popular, David, Mark, Paul, John, etc. etc. Mine is Joram, It's in the Old Testament-Book of Kings. He was the youngest of three brothers who's father, a very just and well liked king, feel ill and was about to die. Joram then, anxious to be King, would kill his brothers. He was anything but fair and was not liked. He would eventually died a horrible death, because of his promiscuity, his bowels fell out from a disease.... Thanks Mom. The really funny part is how did my mother find it, she was a devout Atheist! She was very creative with my sisters also, except I don't think they have any past to live down...Karima, Sami, Justi. There are parents out there that have absolutely no creativity, unless you call naming all 6 of your boys the same first name, George as in George Formen creative. Unique maybe but not creative. How are you supposed to tattle? There are some religious names I feel should be retired, like a great athletes number. Jesus is one of those, but the Latin pop wouldn't vote to take it out of circulation. Will the real Jesus please stand up.... Some names dictate the life of the person receiving it. If you want a big tough kid, name him Brutus, Beowulf or Butkis. If you want brains, well its obvious you call them Einstein, Issac, Sigmund or Joram(OK so i threw that in there so what)If your name is Bertha, then why didn't they just go ahead and put BIG before it on the birth cert.? You know they didn't choose Twiggy as the name for the biggest driver in your golf bag...Bye the way was twiggy her real name... If you want your child to aspire to grow up and get a trailer. Why not call them Billy-bob, Bobbyjoe or Sarah-lee. There are names that wont ever be used again, just because who had them in the past... Adolph, Osama, Benedict Arnold, Judas, George Bush, Dick(good first name) Cheney. Some parent unknowingly give names that in another culture or language will cause some eyes to widen. I recently met an Asian front desk clerk who's name was Larry. But when ever I see an Asian with an American name I know their just trying to fit in. So I feel bad and always ask for their real name. His real name was Hung I almost, but didn't, ask if his last name was Lo. Some parents have a sense of humor. I knew a girl in college who's last name was Belem, So the parents choose to name her Sarah.. That's the truth. I guess they too wanted a smart girl. The next President of our country will have a name that was surely never there before. It will be a female name. What the Hill r we think'n? I'm not sure we were ready for the the world to be introduced to the next president as, I give you President Obama. Osama meet Obama....You knew there was no way it would be president Huckabee. Movie stares are always changing there names to something that "sounds" more celeberty? The most obvious was Penis Van Lesbian... you know Dick Van Dyke! And few names that no parent who loves their child should ever use.... Candy, Sugar, Honey, Angel,(unless you want her to be a stripper)Erastus, Peter Willy (and you know their going to get harassed).
